“When we choose to give hope rather than encourage moral laxity in our women, we fulfill our role as leaders and Gods’ agents for moral change.”
Today, women
have become very easy targets for mindless sexual perverts. There is a huge
pressure on finances at all levels and people are struggling to make ends meet.
In this part of the world, men are usually expected to fend for their women;
wives, spouses, daughters, female dependants etc. With the dwindling economy
and resultant massive under employment and reduced disposable income, it has
been an uphill task for most men to fulfill this obligation.
The need to
survive and remain visible has driven a lot of women into all types of
unwholesome pursuits. Women want to look good: wear the latest clothes,
ornaments and accessories; own expensive trending mobile devices and footwear;
get noticed as “big babes” and generally get male attention. To remain relevant
in this escalating and fierce competition amongst women and the battle for male
attention, the helm line of their skirts have ridiculously gone up to reveal
more leg and thighs; their blouse and dress are so very sparse revealing more
cleavage and discreet body parts. Additionally, natural and artificial
enhancements of body parts: eyes, nose, bums, butts, tummy etc have
(more pix after the cut)
been
undertaken to increase their attraction and market value.
Sadly enough,
a good number of these women hardly earn any formal income or have the resources
to accommodate this extravagant lifestyle and often have to rely on the
largesse and patronage of men to fund these wanton tastes. Too many ladies,
girls, even adolescents and married
women are prowling the streets days day and night, their body being the only
asset and currency of exchange. Depending on the class and status, some women
can surrender their virtue for as little as N500. I have heard of an instance
where an exchange of mere N200 recharge card has dovetailed into an amorous
fling. Conversely, some women have been known to acquire houses, cars and
expensive foreign travels and assets through this preoccupation.
When I refer
to men as sex perverts, it goes without saying that sex has been elevated to a
ridiculously unwholesome art and carnal worship by men. Once upon a time, sex
was considered a sacred and glorified act between a man and woman in a “legal”
acceptable relationship. Today, it is so commonplace especially with increasing
moral decadence and unrestrained access to pornographic content everywhere
especially online. Sex is available everywhere and anyhow on demand, male and
female, same sex (man to man, woman to woman), bestiality (human and animal)
and several other perverse sexual escapades. There are no limits anymore to
permissiveness and lust: fathers violating daughters or women old enough to be
their daughters, young men ravaging and raping and violating women of every age
even those enough to be their grandmothers.
Yet, the
women are available everywhere, scantily dressed, vital body parts exposed,
soliciting and seeking attention for gain. For most women, sex has shamelessly
become an alternative income stream and for many others a career and only
source of livelihood.
But I believe
that men can do better than continue to patronize and take advantage of these
confused, desperate, vulnerable and hopeless women. It is our responsibility as
fathers, husbands, brothers and friends to consciously restore the dignity of
our women, giving hope rather than exploiting their vulnerability. Nature has
assigned men leadership of our family units and communities and expects us to
protect our mothers, wives, daughters and sisters from all manners of abuse. It
is true that “whatever a man sows, so shall he reap” It is a law of God and a
natural law of retribution. We leave our own womenfolk exposed to abuse when we
abuse someone else’s mother, wife, sister and daughter.
The message
from the video is instructive. Men, real men are expected to provide guidance
and good counsel for our women who have mortgaged their moral dignity and left
themselves exposed to all manners of sexual exploitation. We fail as Gods’
moral agents when we encourage profligacy as patrons. Women will not be too
confident to walk half naked and solicit for sexual business if there are no
patrons. Our money and resources should instead be used to guide, enlighten,
and give hope to disadvantaged and desperate women. When we choose to give hope
rather than encourage moral laxity in our women, we fulfill our role as leaders
and Gods’ agents for moral change.
