With a passionate and concerned tone, in her post she addressed her fellow women. “My darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters, please naa, do I go down on my knees and start pleading with you to stop acting foolish and save yourselves needless trouble? Just check out Bimpe’s story. She got pregnant at age 14 and her parents had to terminate her pregnancy. She could have died; her womb could have been destroyed because she had stupidly fallen in love. Yet, she still had the guts to remain in love and certainly still fantasizing about her boyfriend/ boy fiend till date.
Children of nowadays or what do we call this? We all have a natural tendency to fall in love at a rather young age but you should never dwell on it. It should never be allowed to grow; it only gets you into trouble. Gets in the way of your concentration at school, turns you against your parents, makes you do crazy things and I just feel so so terrible that a 14 year old girl would engage in sexual intercourse with her boyfriend like it’s no big deal, but why would you choose to walk the destructive way simply because others are doing same.
Girls, if you want to preserve your life and your beautiful future, you need to decide today which path to follow this year. You just need to understand that we all have different destinies and our destinies carry diverse spiritual significances. Meaning, you can’t afford to live your life like every other girl. You don’t know the type of destiny you have and what it takes to get it to manifest and what you really should never get involved with, do you? Some myopic and ungodly adults around you could tell you there’s nothing wrong in all the immorality you are engaging in right now because they did same, those are lies from the pit of hell! Please don’t let anyone or the entire world encourage you to stay on the ruinous path this year”
Pastor Okeowo continues reflectively, “A lot of you reading this were badly ill-treated and spat away like gall after a so-called boyfriend had his fill of you last year. Not so? A good number of you failed on exam or the other because you allowed love to take over your intellect and had your heart broken. Not so? Some of you are even too scared and embarrassed to walk down your street because an amorous relationship which landed you in a big disgrace. Not so...” (To be continued next week)
