The Key to Becoming All You Can Be by Victoria Osteen

The more I live on this earth, the more I understand how important relationships are and how important it is to be in community. When I look back over my life, I see how God placed me among some amazing people. I've had strong, faithful friends and family who have encouraged me and held me accountable. I believe that is what God intended for all of us—to live life connected and supported, helping each other to rise higher in life.
Back in the beginning of time when God created Adam, He said, "It's not good for man to be alone." Right then, He was depositing the desire for connection in all of mankind. Than after He created Eve, He said to them both, "I want you to be fruitful and multiply." He was saying, "Grow your family strong and increase in the earth."

All along, God intended for us to have families and build community with one another. That's how we develop what He has placed within in us so that in turn we can accomplish all that He has for us. I can truly say today that I am who I am, not because of happenstance or because of all my great decisions; I am who I am because of the people God placed in my life who propelled me forward. They challenged me even when I didn't necessarily want to hear what they were saying. I knew they loved me and had the best in mind for me and that made all the difference in the world.

One of the greatest feelings in life happens when we are helping other people. God gave us an internal reward system because we are intended to motivate and help each other. That's the healthy way to live. Ecclesiastes even tells us that two are better than one because if one person falls, the other can reach out and help them.

Today, if you are feeling disconnected in your relationships, reach out to a friend or loved one. Be the friend you are seeking by encouraging others to move forward in life. Sow good seeds into your relationships and you will a reward. Stay connected and invest in your relationships because that is a major key to becoming all that you can be.

"Two are better than one…" (Ecclesiastes 4:9, NIV).
