Army commends recently retired 14 generals for good conduct

Fourteen generals that have reached the retirement period were duly retired amid a pulling-out parade. The generals were commended for the service they had rendered to the military. Other military officers were urged to emulate them. 
The Nigerian army has retired 14 generals of the army medical corps who have dedicated their lives to serving the military and have duly reached the retirement period.  The chief of army staff, Lt Gen. Tukur Buratai, said the army medical corps paraded brilliant men and officers capable of addressing medical challenges facing the army. 
The pull-out parade was held at parade ground of the 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in the Yaba area of Lagos. Major Gen Henry Edet who was representing the chief of army staff urged the officers and soldiers to dedicate themselves to serving the nation and giving all their best. He commended the brilliance of the retiring officers and added that “what they have contributed positively to the Nigerian Army will never be forgotten 
Major Gen. A. O. Amusu who is the corps commander said it was commendable that although the army had limited number of officers, the available ones were well qualified to boost its medical corps. She maintained that quality health care is hinged on a tripod: “appropriate infrastructure, right equipment and well-trained and retrained personnel. The present NAMC is grossly deficient in all these.
