According to CCTV, Huang's arms were tightly
wrapped around Cai probably in a bid to protect her from falling debris as the
roof collapsed.
The man had hugged his girlfriend so tightly that it took enormous efforts for rescuers to separate the two bodies.
Taiwan authorities said the death toll from the collapsed building which was damaged in the weekend earthquake has risen to 59, with 63 people still missing and presumed trapped under the rubble of the collapsed residential building.. Rescuers say the chances of finding more survivors are now slim.
