Starlet Wahu and her Father |
Wahu Kanyari aka Starlet Wahu, daughter of self-proclaimed prophet Kanyari has a beautiful
daughter unknown by many Kenyans. The sassy Starlet Wahu behavior is not
consistent with what her father preaches and, probably, that’s why the father
kept her out of the media radar.
Starlet, who fancies herself as a model, has posted photos of herself semi-nude raising questions about her upbringing. Starlet Wahu is giving men many sleepless nights due to these provocative photos. She delights in sharing these pictures on social media despite being a “renowned” Bishop’s daughter.

Yes, Starlet is beautiful but she might
have to rethink her way of dressing for the sake of her father’s ministry. In
most photos she either shows off her behind or her breasts which a trend with
most young girls and of course all struggling socialites.
There is a lesson for us here as it reflects on real situations in our homes and churches. From my experience as a father and leader in the church over the years, I have observed that some of the reasons why children of Christian parents rebel and choose an opposite lifestyle include, among many other things, extraneous expectations placed upon children by parents and the congregation and then sometimes coupled with an overly strict home where religion is forced and in which there is very little freedom.
There is therefore an urgent need for parents
to develop a commitment to stronger relationship with their children. This
commitment means pastors should let the children know that despite the busyness
and unpredictability of Christian ministry, they will make time for their
children, placing them first in their order of priorities. Parents should avoid
relating their children's behavior to pastoral roles, reputation, or even the
availability of God's love. The home should be open to free communication,
discussion, and exploration of ideas and beliefs, giving children the freedom
to learn about themselves and to make appropriate choices, which will increase
the possibility of children of Christian parents making religious and life
decisions similar to those of their parents
