A sweet holiday memory. Courtney Love remembered Christmas with Kurt Cobain in a bittersweet Instagram post on Friday, December 25, calling him her “greatest true love.”

in the post she says,. “Well this is mine, I'm grateful to have ever experienced that moment. Merry Christmas Kurt, the greatest true love I've ever experienced in my life. You gave me the gift that makes life worth living, our incredibly talented, loving, beautiful and gifted daughter.”

In August, Love wrote another touching post to the late iconic singer — who committed suicide in 1994 at the age of 27 — about Frances Bean, 23.

“Makes me feel so sad," she captioned a photo from Spin magazine of the family together in 1992, lying on a bed. "Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus, Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking? God I miss you, we all miss you.

Earlier this year, HBO released a documentary entitled Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, which offered fans a poignant look at the ‘90s rocker’s rise to fame and untimely death. While the film was Love’s idea (and Frances Bean was a producer on the project), she admitted that it was immensely difficult to watch.

“It kind of f--ked me up,she told director Brett Morgen in April, for V magazine. “I remembered how much I love him. Nobody else was as funny. Nobody else was as compatible and got my jokes. And you can see it in the film. He's a hard act to follow. I love him and I always will."

Cobain was Love’s second husband. She was previously married to rock singer James Moreland.
